SmartMAP.com implemented the Statewide GIS system in Delaware known as DEGIS (Delaware GIS).  These Suitability Analyses were used to determine  “Growth Areas”, also called “Investment Areas“.  The final adopted analysis identified areas throughout the state where the state wants to encourage and stimulate development based on land use, infrastructure, etc.  DEGIS Incentives are offered to encourage development in these areas.  This Development Analysis goes hand in hand with the Preservation Analysis to produce an overall State Plan for the Controlled, Orderly and Logical Growth and Preservation in Delaware.

SmartMAP.com also created school maps to create feeder patterns when new schools are built and the school administration has to decide which students will go to which schools based on where they live.

Sussex County Parcel Mapping Project

SmartMAP.com was selected by Sussex County to create a seamless electronic property map of the entire county.  Sussex County was the last county in Delaware without digital parcels linking to assessment and other information and the successful completion of this project means all of Delaware parcels are now part of a digital linked parcel mapping system.  TMS created 2/3 of the digital parcels in the state.  Following are a couple of selected graphics from our PowerPoint slide show.

This graphic shows a Zoomed-in view of Parcels and Linked Database Table for the maps SmartMAP.com produced.  Previously each parcel map had to be maintained manually.  After creation of the SmartMAP.com system, Multiple Map Maintenance now only requires one Seamless Map.

City of Rehoboth Beach GIS Mapping System

Utilizing existing county parcel data, a new GIS Mapping System was created by SmartMAP.com for the City of Rehoboth Beach, successfully linking the tax information of both the county and municipality.  The GIS Mapping System for Rehoboth Beach includes tax numbers, account numbers, addresses, owner information, assessment information, pictures, and documents and zoning.  A grid of the Boardwalk was created to help identify and track construction projects, emergency situations, and basic features such as lights, cameras, and construction materials along the walkway.  An Equipment Database is included to aid in tracking trucks, pumps, generators, and other equipment during an emergency such as a hurricane.   Mapping overlays include Ortho Photos and Flood Zones.  Reporting Options include exporting address information of selected properties to an Excel mailing list.

City of Smyrna Zoning, Comprehensive Plan and Parcels

SmartMAP.com was commissioned to produce Zoning, Comprehensive Plan and Parcel Maps for the Town of Smyrna.  SmartMAP.com used its existing resources from its previously creating the County Digital Parcels of Kent County which enabled the creation of the Zoning and Comprehensive Plan Maps with actual parcel locations.

Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce

SmartMAP.com produced and annually updated County Map for a number of years for the Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce.  The Chamber used this map to sell advertising and raise funds for Chamber Operations.  The Map was prepared in Layers which were delivered to a local printer to allow the creation of separate color templates to allow mass produced full color maps.

DEMA’s Chestnut Grove Map

The Delaware Emergency Agency (DEMA) contracted with SmartMAP.com to convert their scale model town to a Road Map for Homeland Security Training purposes.  Starting with the 24’ x 20’ model of Chestnut Grove, SmartMAP.com digitized the town, addressed all the properties and created a complete map including roads, rail roads, buildings, fire hydrants, hospitals, helicopter pads, parks, cemeteries, etc.

E-Z Pass Toll Roads Map

SmartMAP.com provided E-Z Pass with a simple, easy to read map to use as a quick reference guide for E-Z Pass Employees.
